How strong is the ironclad beetle?

The ironclad beetle is one of the strongest animals in the world. It can survive being run over by a car, attacked by predators and crushed by foot.

Now scientists have found the reason behind the near-indestructibility of the shell. The Ironclads interlocking exoskeleton is the key reason behind the shell. The interlocking sections resemble jigsaw-puzzle pieces. In experiments the scientists found this helped to stop stress and make the skeleton.

What is the Ironclad Beetle?

The Ironclad Beetle is found in wooded areas of the US west coast, the beetle is about 2 cm in length. Its wing covers, known as elytra, are not only hardened, but fused together. Most Ironclad beetles live for about seven or eight years.

Does temperature affect tadpole growth?

Does temperature affect tadpole growth?

Tadpoles in warmer water completely finish sooner than the tad  in the colder water. This suggests that warmer water temperature increases the rate of growing in tadpoles.

People are allowed to take their dogs for a walk in Italy. But this latest move suggests that turtles don't have the same rules as dogs
Italian authorities reported issuing a record 16,545 fines on Easter Monday followed by another 13,756 fines on Sunday.

The plane landed between cars on a highway in Quebec, Canada.
Apparently the pilot of the aircraft called the Quebec fire department to get permission to land on the Highway because of a mechanical problem.

Cars were on the road as the plane landed.

Officials said the pilot landed the plane safely and no-one was injured.

Donald Trump to allow mining on the moon

Donald Trump to allow mining on the moon

NASA believes the moon’s water ice and other resources can be mined
and used by the U.S.

The permission may be used by 2024. This is when NASA aims to land two astronauts on the moon. Their aim is to establish a sustainable human presence by 2028.                                                                                                        .                                                                                                             mining the Moon will help humans travel further in space to places like Mars.                                 .

The plan may be to use the Moon like a petrol station because it has the resources needed for rocket fuel like hydrogen and oxygen.

Marine Iguanas

 Marine Iguanas

Image result for marine Iguana The marine Iguana, the sea Iguana the saltwater Iguana or Galápagos marine iguana is a species of Iguana only found on Galápagos islands. That has a unique ability that no other modern lizards have they forage in the sea making it a marine reptile. This iguana feeds on mostly on algae and large males dive to find this food source while females and smaller males feed during low tide. They mainly live in colonies on rocky shores where they warm up after visiting the cold water but can also be seen in marshes and beaches. Some males defend territories to impress the female for a short time and other males have different ways. When the female need lay eggs they dig a hole in the ground. After a few months the eggs hatch on they own.
